Leadership
During my undergraduate career, I've served on multiple student organization executive boards. I've also worked as a SCI 1001 peer mentor through the College of Science for three years, guiding freshman students as they begin their college journey. Through my experiences, I've demonstrated leadership, commitment to community and diversity, and my ability to implement new initiatives. It has allowed me to develop stronger communication and organizational abilities. This has equipped me to be a collaborative student and teammate, and to adapt to novel situations.
The National Society of Black Women in Medicine
President 2025-2026
Vice President 2024-2026
I joined LSU's chapter of The National Society of Black Women in Medicine during my sophomore year and became vice president my junior year. I now serve as president, and my role involves overseeing and coordinating an executive board of 15 members to plan and execute fundraising, service, and networking events.
I've organized and managed a variety of events, including trunk-or-treat with the Boys & Girls Club, a professional development workshop with the Olinde Career Center, and guest speakers from nearby healthcare facilities. Our club now has 206 national members and 380 students registered in Tigerlink.
The club inducted its first cohort during the Spring of 2024, while I was vice president, and we will be inducting our second cohort April 2026. It has been rewarding to help lay the foundation for an organization that will continue to expand and to share my experiences with younger students.

African Student Organization
Vice President 2025-2026
Communications Director 2024-2025
As Communications Director of the African Student Organization, I experimented with efficient ways to communicate with club members through creating flyers and social media content to increase engagement. This allowed our organization to grow and increase member retention; It also allowed me to develop proficiency working with Canva and other design platforms. I've been able to pass this knowledge to our current communications director and review communication before it is sent to our organization.
ASO's mission focuses on creating a safe space where students from all backgrounds can engage with the diverse cultural richness of the African continent through food, music, and cultural events. As Vice President, I've been able to engage with African students and students from other cultures to learn what they'd like to see from our organization and to aid in executing these events. One of these events is a fake African wedding we will be hosting in April 2026. As Vice President, I've also gained administrative experience, including renting rooms, purchasing event supplies, and managing our organization's bank account.

Student Christian Medical Association
Secretary 2024-2026
I've served as secretary for the Student Christian Medical Association for two academic years. As secretary, I manage the organization's internal and external communication through our email and the Flare app. I began tracking member points in the Flare app, making it easier for the executive board and organization members to see. Managing the points allowed me to appreciate each person’s contributions, and the organization's service initiatives allowed me to engage with the Baton Rouge community.

I also proposed a Testimony Tuesday segment on our Instagram, which has helped foster connections between our members. It has also allowed younger members of our organization to seek spiritual and academic guidance from upperclassmen.
